Metro Line 11 will shorten train intervals on Sunday to handle large crowds at the Formula One Chinese Grand Prix in Jiading district, Shanghai.
The interval will be reduced from 5.5 minutes to 2 minutes and 35 seconds from 4pm to 8pm on Sunday between Jiading New Town and Sanlin stations. The interval between Huaqiao and Jiading New Town stations will be shortened to 5 minutes and 10 seconds from the previous 11 minutes.
Shuttle bus services to the racetrack were canceled this year, making Line 11 the only public transport option for fans heading to the event.
