The 12th annual Peach Blossom Festival has just kicked off in Nyingchi County, Tibet Autonomous Region.

The 12th annual Peach Blossom Festival has just kicked off in Nyingchi County, Tibet Autonomous Region. Tourists from all over the country flocked to the event, marking the start of the peak tourist season in the region.

The picturesque scenery of peach blossoms with snow-capped mountains in the background seemed to please visitors, who of course were eager to take some snaps. Nyingchi is the lowest prefecture in the Tibet Autonomous Region and therefore spring comes earlier here than elsewhere in the area.

The Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival has become one of the most important tourist events in the region in recent years. The event will last until the end of April.
