First conviction for Apple service provider

Shanghai Zhabei People's Court recently handed down the first criminal conviction to an Apple authorized service provider who illegally exchanged parts from stolen iPhones to make "new" ones to make money, Shanghai Morning Post reported.

Since the middle of 2013, many iPhones had been stolen in Shanghai and local police discovered that many of the phones were taken "for repairs" to Aifeng Workshop, an Apple authorized service provider in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.
