"Objects spotted by Chinese aircraft as heading back to Perth. P8 unable to relocate objects," AMSA's official Twitter said.

The crew of a Chinese IL-76 plane spotted some suspicious objects in the southern Indian Ocean and reported the coordinates - - 95.1113 degrees east longitude and 42.5453 degrees south altitude -- to the Australian command center as well as Chinese icebreaker Xuelong, which is en route to the search area, some 2, 500 km southwest of Perth.

A Xinhua correspondent aboard the IL-76 aircraft said the searchers saw two relatively big floating objects with many white smaller ones scattered within a radius of several kilometers.

Earlier, AMSA said they has been informed of the objects sighted by a Chinese aircraft and attempts will be made to relocate the objects.

"AMSA was advised about the reported objects sighted by Chinese aircraft. The reported objects area within today's search area and attempts will be made to relocate them," media officer Lisa told Xinhua.
