Direct flights between Xi'an, an ancient Chinese capital and a top tourist destination, and Helsinki, capital of Finland, are expected to be resumed on March 30, according to Finland's major airline Finnair on Sunday.

The flight AY060 will take off from Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, at 10:35 a.m. every Monday, Thursday and Saturday and return from Helsinki every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday during the period from March 30 to Oct. 25, according to Finnair.

Finnair first opened the route on June 14 last year and suspended the service on Oct. 26.

Passengers can reach more than 60 European cities via Helsinki.
