Mao's 'special' plane, yours for 8m yuan

An airplane claimed as a "special plane for Chairman Mao" is on sale for 8 million yuan in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, chinanews.com reported.

Zhuhai Ridong Group, which acquired the 46-meter craft and used it to attract customers to its shopping complex in Ridong Square in the 1990s, want to sell it to free up space for a parking lot, said Wang Zhilei, assistant to the group's board chairman.

If a buyer cannot be found by May, the plane will be dismantled and put in storage.
