China has eight naval ships, and five helicopters currently deployed to look for possible evidence of the missing plane. So far, nothing has been found in the area where the plane was first thought to have gone down. Four of the Chinese ships have now headed further northwest into the Gulf of Thailand, with four helicopters also searching the area.

Meanwhile, China has released a high definition composite color satellite image, showing three floating objects in the South China Sea. The initial images were released yesterday. China has eight satellites providing technical support in the search for the missing jet. Two more satellites are set to join the search in the coming days.
