A photography exhibition on Japan's invasion history of China opened in Beijing on Wednesday.

The exhibition, named "History will never forget", at the China Photography Exhibition Hall has more than 100 photos as well as hundreds of pictures from newspapers and magazines covering Japan's aggression wars against China from 1894 to 1945.

The display highlights wars including the First Sino-Japanese War in 1894, the Russo-Japanese War in 1904 and China's anti-Japanese War, which ended in 1945.

The exhibition has been organized by the China Photographers Association (CPA).

The photos and pictures were collected from Japanese officials, research institutions, scholars and media for the display.

Japanese imperialists began collecting images of China at the end of the 19th century, according to the CPA.

The images cover many parts of China and its people.

Despite being open to the public, the CPA is still collecting photos for the exhibition. The full display is expected to be ready in July.
