China's top court on Thursday released 10 measures courts took to improve judicial justice in 2013, which Net users defined as the most significant.

Of 2.3 million votes, 263,077 thought punishing food safety crimes was most important, followed by punishing sexual assaults on minors with 213,692 votes, the Supreme People's Court (SPC) said.

In 2013, China investigated 32,000 crimes involving food safety, 2.6 times higher than that of 2012.

Authorities also destroyed 28,000 illegal workshops, the China News Service reported.

All the top 10 measures are closely related to people's livelihoods and protection of fairness and justice, SPC spokesperson Sun Jungong said.
