Student found dead

A graduate student from Shanghai University was found dead Tuesday in a hotel room bathroom in Baoshan district, local media reported.

The 24-year-old student, surnamed Huo, was a Henan Province native.

Inside the hotel room, authorities found burnt charcoal, which suicide victims have used in the past to asphyxiate themselves.

Forensics officers have ruled out murder in the case.
