Senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Liu Yunshan on Friday reiterated the need to carry out the reform plan issued last year.

Liu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at the concluding ceremony of a workshop at the CPC Central Committee Party School on the comprehensive advancement of the reform.

The workshop was attended by principal officials at provincial and ministerial levels.

He called on officials to learn the spirit of President Xi Jinping's speech at the workshop, which ran from Monday to Friday.

Officials should understand each specific policy in the context of the overall policy arrangement and explore new solutions of reform while adopting successful experiences, he said.

Liu encouraged officials to have foresight to tackle new problems that might appear during the reform.

He urged officials to have a strong sense of duty in implementing various policies and strengthening studies to achieve concrete results of the reform.
