Internet date shoots woman

A woman was shot to death Wednesday afternoon in Rongxian County in Southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, local police said.

The suspect, surnamed Liang, was arrested and put under detention on Wednesday.

According to the police, the victim met Liang on the Internet and had asked Liang for money several times. Liang later felt cheated by the victim and killed her with a shotgun.

The investigation is still ongoing. It is unknown where Liang had acquired the weapon.
