Wang Zhizhi completed a terrific career as he played his final match in the CBA. His, Bayi Rockets lost to Liaoning Flying Leopards at the home, in the last game of the regular season.

The 37-year-old is retiring. Wang announced some time ago he would give up the game after this campaign. He scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in his final match.

When the final buzzer sounded, the 37-year-old center was surrounded by emotional teammates and fans.

Wang started his CBA career with Bayi Rockets way back in 1994. Wang led the team to six CBA championships until heading to the NBA. He became the first Chinese player to make it to the Association when the Dallas Mavericks signed him in 2001.

As an international, Wang helped China win the Asia Championship twice, and the Asian Games three times. He also helped the team finish in 8th place overall, at the 1996 and 2008 Olympics.
