Ferghana horses are one of the oldest horse breeds in the world, and have been raised for over 3000 years.
On Thursday, seven of these horses were imported to northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from Kazakhstan. The local inspection and quaratine bureau conducted a thorough inspection of the horses.
The Chinese horse breeding company, Xinjiang Wildhorse Group, purchased the horses. They are mainly located in Central Asia, and were first imported to China through the ancient Silk Road.
