Passenger jumps off subway station in Beijing

A passenger jumped off a subway platform in downtown Beijing and died Friday.

The passenger jumped at Guomao Station on Line 1 at 6:37 p.m., according to the Beijing Subway Company.

Current was cut off after the incident and operations resumed at 7:14 p.m., the company said. A number of subway trains were delayed.

Police said the passenger was dead at the scene.
