One Chinese was killed and six others injured when four armed men robbed a quarrying firm in suburb of Lusaka, the Zambian capital, early Wednesday morning.

According to the Chinese Embassy in Zambia, the four armed men carried guns and other weapons during the robbery.

The embassy has called for local Chinese people to donate blood to help save the injured.

In 2012 a Chinese manager from Collum Coal mine was murdered by striking workers in Zambia over salary disputes. Twelve people were later arrested.
