Broadband tops ranking

Shanghai topped a list of Chinese cities with the fastest average broadband Internet speed, according to a report from ChinaCache.

Shanghai had an average broadband speed of 5.4 Mbps (Megabits per second), followed by Beijing, which had 4.17 Mbps. China's average broadband speed was 3.45 Mbps, up 33.2 percent from the fourth quarter in 2012.
