Cooks take final tests at Beijing university

The final exams might have ended for most college students, but the canteen cooks At Tsinghua University took their own form of finals on January 13.

Tsinghua student Wen Xin revealed the scene at the cooks' "final exam," a test entitled "position assessment comprehensive examination of diet center."

Deng Pan, who marked the test, published the content of the final exam that includes "polite language in the canteen" and "how to put out a fire in the process of cooking."

Students at Tsinghua noted online that there are not only exams for cooks, but also security exams for guards.

"No wonder that there are so many different kinds of delicious food at my school," Tsinghua alumnus Ge Hongxuan wrote.

Net user Ma Ye said, "I wonder what happens to cooks who fail the exam."

Net user Liang Yu wrote that "I went to a Tsinghua University summer camp and I really felt the high comprehensive quality of logistics personnel there."

"Tsinghua University is like a future community. Everyone in the school is pursuing progress," Liang said.

Some Net users suggested their own questions for the test: "What is the diameter of a slice, 1 centimeter or more than 1.5 centimeters?"

"Should you shake the meat out of a spoon when you dish up the meat dishes?"

Popular suggestions for essay questions included "Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of peeling potatoes" and "Discuss why you should give more rice to girls."
