Chinese leaders vow deeper collaboration with Bulgaria(2)

Later on Tuesday, top Chinese legislator Zhang Dejiang also met with Plevneliev.

Zhang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), reviewed the good foundation of cooperation between the NPC and the Bulgarian congress, calling for more sharing of experiences in legislature and state governance, and more solid work by legislative bodies to promote bilateral relations.

Plevneliev said Bulgaria would like to work more closely with China and welcome Chinese businesses' involvement in Bulgarian infrastructure and other sectors.

He said Bulgaria will play a constructive role in boosting relations with China and relations between central and western Europe and China.

On Monday, Chinese President Xi Jinpingand Plevneliev announced the establishment of an all-round friendly partnership between China and Bulgaria.
