Restaurant crowded after President Xi's visit

Hundreds swarmed into a restaurant in Beijing on Sunday after President Xi Jinping visited and dined in the same venue the previous day. The unexpected visit has gone viral online.

People queuing up to take a bite of what the Chinese President had for lunch in Qingfeng Steamed Bun restaurant .

"I came to experience his common touch. The visit has shown that he's being thrifty." Beijing citizen said.

Restaurant staff can still clearly remember their conversation with the country's top leader.

"I offered to get the buns for him, but he insisted on lining up himself. We shook hands." Shi Lingyu, staff of Qingfeng Steamed Bun Restaurant, said.

"I took his order. I recommended the steamed buns with pork, and he also asked for a side dish and some vegetables. A lot of people talked with him during the visit." Huang Xueqin, staff of Qingfeng Steamed Bun Restaurant, said.

"He finished his meal after about 20 minutes. He said the buns were delicious, and asked us to put more emphasis on food safety."He Yuanli, staff of Qingfeng Steamed Bun Restaurant, said.

After President Xi visit, the restaurant added the "President's Combo" onto its menu.
