Procedure shortened for foreigners

Starting Thursday, the online application service on http://crj.police.sh.cn/eemis_tydic will shorten the application procedure for the extension of a residence permit to one hour for foreigners, Jiefang Daily reported.

Applicants will no longer need to have their passports reserved at the exit-entry administration bureau.

Foreigners who need to renew their residence permits can apply online and then bring the materials to collect the permit at the bureau on the scheduled date.
