More than 20 Chinese workers, evacuated from South Sudan, have now left Nairobi, Kenya to return home to China.

They were among the 200 Chinese nationals that were evacuated to Kenya and Tanzania on Saturday. The workers said that after the conflict began in the South Sudanese capital Juba over a week ago, they mostly stayed at home. With abundant food supplies from their companies, their daily life was manageable.

The Chinese companies invested in South Sudan began evacuating Chinese nationals on Saturday under the advisement from the Chinese embassy. The ongoing fighting has forced a number of foreigners to flee the country.
