Vietnamese party chief meets CPC delegation

Wang Jiarui, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong in Vietnam's capital Hanoi on Thursday.

During the meeting, Wang conveyed Chinese President Xi Jinping' s greetings and wishes to Trong, saying China is always willing to join efforts with Vietnam to strengthen bilateral relations from long-term and strategic perspective, maintain high-level exchanges, promote sharing experiences on managing state affairs and exercising the state power, deepen pragmatic cooperation in all fields and continuously develop comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation.

Nguyen Phu Trong, for his part, said Vietnam attaches great importance to promoting Vietnam-China relations.

Vietnam is willing to coordinate with China following the principles of 16-word motto of"friendly neighborliness, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability and looking towards the future"and the four-good spirit of "good neighbors, good friends, good comrades and good partners"to bring the Vietnam- China friendship to a new height.

The delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) led by Wang Jiarui is visiting Vietnam at the invitation of the Communist Party of Vietnam. During the visit, Wang met with To Huy Rua, secretary and head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Commission for Organization, Nguyen Thien Nhan, president of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Hoang Binh Quan, head of the Commission for External Relations of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee.
