At least 55 sheep died as the animals ran in fear from a fully-grown leopard after it invaded a sheepfold at a mountainous region in central China's Henan Province on Tuesday morning.
A wildlife expert said leopards are generally found in forests. However, in recent years, leopards always haunt in mountainous regions due to ecological environmental improvement, according an official with local nature reserve authorities.
