Subway molester captured in Beijing

A man is seen harassing female passengers on Subway Line 2 in Beijing.

Beijing police announced Monday that they have captured a man who was lying under a subway seat to harass female passengers, according to the official Sina Weibo account of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau.

The 30-year-old suspect, surnamed Zhu, was reported by witnesses to have stroked the legs of several female passengers while lying under a seat of subway line 2.

Zhu was caught on the train at Dongzhimen Station on line 2 and confessed to multiple harassments of female passengers. Further investigation is ongoing.

Beijing police reminded the public to report similar issues to the police or subway staff as soon as possible.
