The murder of two Suzhou demolition officers is under investigation, chinanews.com reported.
On December 3, five demolition officers went to the house of the suspect, surnamed Fan, to discuss the demolition of his house. Fan and his wife refused to talk with them and Fan held onto a knife saying he might kill them, according to investigation results released Thursday.
As Fan and his wife tried to leave, three other officers arrived and prevented them. A fight broke out during which Fan allegedly stabbed an officer, surnamed Hu, in the chest, and then stabbed another officer, surnamed Liu, twice. Both died in hospital.
The six surviving officers were detained for picking quarrels and provoking trouble.
