Foreign chiefs of China, Jordan hold talks in Beijing

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Sunday held talks with his Jordanian counterpart Nasser Judeh.

Wang stressed the unique influences Jordan has on the Middle East, Arab and the Islamic community.

Wang underlined the great importance China has placed on developing ties with Jordan, hailing Jordan as China's good friend and partner in Arab community.

Wang said China supports Jordan's bigger role in regional and international affairs.

Wang said China would like to work with Jordan to implement the consensus reached during Jordanian king's visit to China in September and enrich bilateral strategic cooperation.

Nasser, who is on a three-day China visit, reaffirmed Jordan's importance to developing ties with China, calling for the deeper growth of bilateral relations and the expanded cooperation in investment and trade and economy.

Nasser said Jordan appreciates China's support on all areas.

Wang and Nasser also exchanged views on regional and international affairs, including Syrian issue, Iran nuclear issue and Palestine-Israel issue.
