China's State Administration of Work Safety revealed on Thursday that the director of one of its affiliated art troupe has been placed under custody over charges of bribery.

Zhang Chengxiang, director of China Coal Mine Art Troupe, was removed from his post and put under Shuanggui, an internal disciplinary process conducted by the Communist Party of China.

Zhang has allegedly taken more than 13 million yuan ($2.13 million) in bribes when he served as the director of the Heilongjiang Coal Mine Safety Bureau. Zhang was also said to possess multiple properties in Heilongjiang and Hainan provinces as well as in Beijing.
