Cultural relics sites app launched

As of last week, the public can check the status of 181 cultural relics sites in Xicheng district using their smartphones, the Beijing Daily reported.

The Xicheng district government released an Android app last weekend, through which the public can look up the geographic location, information and photos of historical sites, temples or classic modern architecture.

In creating this app, the government hopes to attract the assistance of the public in protecting cultural relics.
