Students recover from food poisoning

All 43 students from Northwest University who were hospitalized because of food poisoning have returned to school after treatment, people.com.cn reported on Thursday afternoon.

The report said that 43 students of the university in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, had experienced vomiting, diarrhea and fever after they ate "Turkish kebab rice" from the school canteen on Nov 12.

They were sent to hospitals where they were diagnosed as having food poisoning, the report said.

By Thursday afternoon, all the students had returned to school after medical treatment.

The local center for Disease Control and Prevention has taken a sample from the kebab rice and closed the window that sold the food.

The local Food and Drug Administration received a report on the incident on Nov 12 and has started an investigation.

The results are still unknown.
