Students injured in school bus-truck collision

A school bus carrying more than 50 children collided with a heavy truck on Thursday morning in east China's Zhejiang province, leaving several students injured, police said.

The bus of Xinxing Middle School in Kecheng District, Quzhou City, was on its way to the school when it was hit on the left side by the truck, which had failed to brake properly, at 7 a.m..

Students seated in the middle of the bus were crushed and suffered fractures and bruises. Thirty-five were rushed to hospital for checks, and seven of them were hospitalized.

Police said the driver of the truck should be blamed for the accident.
