Dalian schools to set up nap areas

Schools in Dalian, a coastal city of Liaoning province, will set up places to nap to avoid students sleeping at tables during noon break, Peninsula Morning Post reported on Wednesday.

A survey of 610,000 students in primary and middle schools taken by Dalian Education Bureau found most students take a nap at their desk due to the lack of rest places.

The bureau asked schools to set up nap areas in gyms, spare classrooms or other suitable spaces. Students can also bring bedding to school for siesta.
