Three journalists stood trial recently in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province for accepting bribes in exchange for favorable reports, news portal caixin.com reported on Tuesday.

The three journalists included deputy director of the business sector of the Morning Express, surnamed Jin, and director of the stock and security department of Dushikuaibao, or Metropolis Express, whose surname is Zhu.

A chief journalist from Meirishangbao, or Daily Business News, surnamed Lou, also stood trial for taking bribes.

Jin has allegedly received bribes of more than 3.32 million yuan ($544,985), the most serious among all three, from different publicity companies in Beijing and Shanghai, caixin.com reported.
