Organizers say six stage performances and one art exhibition will also be put on in town during the 11 day event. And some of the country's top artists will meet with teachers and students at local colleges. The country's ambassador says cultural exchanges with Chinese students are very important.

Gustavo A. Martino, Argentine Ambassador, said, "Many Chinese people are going to Argentina to learn Spanish. That's another way to learn from our culture. They know of course about Argentina because of the Tango, because of the football...but there are many things more to learn. We are learning also about China and Shanghai in particular."

The event will run until November 18th and several performances will also be put on in Hangzhou.
