Man in love tapes himself to wall

Policemen in Taipei had to mount ladders to remove a man who had himself taped to a wall in order to impress his girlfriend on October 27.

The 30-year-old romantic surnamed Xie reportedly had friends fasten him to the side of an art installation, located at Zhongxiaodong Road and Dunhuanan Road, using an array of colorful and heavy-duty tape, alongside messages "Love is everything" and "Baby, I love you" written on the wall.

Police informed the owner of the art installation, removed Xie and escorted him back to the station for questioning. No charges were pressed.

Xie's girlfriend was not present to witness the performance.
