The 8th China Beijing International Culture & Creation Industry Expo (ICCIE) will open at the China International Exhibition Center, on Nov 6, in Beijing, with more than 100 activities, exhibitions, forums, summits, trade promotions, and creative events.

This news comes from a press conference in Beijing on Oct 28, where it was explained that the expo is a site for integrating resources, capital, business opportunities, and trade cooperation for the country's culture and creation businesses, all of which have tremendous possibilities.

The ICCIE was first held in 2006 and has been the capital city's site for international exchanges and displays and promoting its cultural resources. The previous sessions have seen many contracts signed and around 365.4 billion yuan ($60 billion) worth of business concluded.

Hosts of this year's grand 5-day event are the Ministry of Culture, General Administration of Press, Publications, Radio, Film and TV, and the Beijing Municipal Government.

In addition to the main exhibition venue at the China International Exhibition Center, there will be 20 smaller venues for exhibits, nine of them at local district and county sites around Beijing.
