The theme of "Beijing Photo 2013" is highlighting the world with photography, and has attracted some one thousand professionals and enthusiasts both from home and abroad.

"There are a lot of excellent photos on display at this event. Many are very valuable documentary works that have shocking power and historic significance. It reflects the trend of focusing on ordinary life." said Reccardo Busi, President, Int'l Federation of Photographic Art.

Besides exhibitions in five different venues across the city, which include the China Millennium Monument, Wangfujing Commercial Street and the 798 art zone, Beijing Photo 2013 also features lectures, forums and workshops for photography amateurs.

"All the activities aim to bring photography closer to life and to people, and to give the public a chance to learn more about photography, appreciate it and get involved with it." said Wang Huangsheng, Curator, Art Museum, China Academy Of Fine Arts.

The section "Beijing Moment" has brought Frank Palmer all the way from Germany. Now in his late sixties, Palmer has come with works featuring Chinese culture and the changes that have taken place in Beijing.

There are one hundred exhibits in this section alone, selected from hundreds of thousands of photos from all over the world. Photography buffs have until Wednesday to sample the amazing selection here, at Beijing Photo 2013.
