An artware dealer on the run for debt finally settled with his creditors after he attempted to evade authorities by disguising himself as a vase during a raid of his warehouse, according to a court in Ningbo, Zhejiang province.

The businessman surnamed Huang had been feeling the heat from debt collectors ever since he lost at least 300,000 yuan ($49,260) on the stock market.

After agreeing to monthly payments of 20,000 yuan as part of an initial court settlement, Huang disappeared after only one month.

Beilun court officials cornered Huang on October 22 following a tip that he was at his warehouse.

In a desperate act, Huang quickly painted himself up to look like a porcelain vase and hid among his stock. His cover was blown after officials noticed a street light reflecting from Huang's bald head.

After knowing Huang's difficult situation, Huang was agreed to extend his payment schedule with the court mediated in between.
