The 2014 Beijing civil servant exam is scheduled for December 8 this year, three months earlier than last year's exam date. People have until October 23 to register for the exam, the Beijing News reported.
Based on the results of this year's exam, positions will be offered to 3,452 people, which is 221 fewer than last year. The reduced recruitment follows the trend of the national civil servant exam (scheduled for Nov 24), with its decline of around 1,000 job openings.
A total of 175 openings in the Beijing civil servant exam are reserved for those whose contracts to serve as village officials have ended.
