Xuhui district prosecutors have charged a man for selling more than 100 phony brand name wristwatches, local media reported.
Xuhui police caught the suspect at a residential compound on April 1 and confiscated more than 20 brand name watches, the Shanghai Evening Post reported.
The suspect bought the watches from Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, and sold them through social media platforms over a two-month period. The watches were counterfeits of brands such as Vacheron Constantin, Rolex and Piaget.
