An Air China official addressed passenger complaints from October 6 that the beef-filled buns offered on flight CA1268 were expired, the Metro Reader reported.

According to the official, there was a mixup with the frozen food packaging bags. The quality guarantee period printed on bags intended for other flights was four to five days, while those for CA 1268 were 20-30 days. As a result, some passengers believed the food to be expired.

Air China has apologized and prepared to send the batch of beef-filled buns to authorities for inspection. The official also said interviews of random passengers on flight CA1268 did not yield any complaints.
