Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman's giant rubber duck will be on display at Beijing's Summer Palace beginning on Sept 26, park authorities have announced.

The 18-meter-tall duck will be on display at the park until Oct 26, the park announced on its official micro blog, as the duck finished its display at the Beijing Garden Expo Park on Sept 23.

The Summer Palace will not raise its ticket prices while the duck is there, it added.

An unidentified official with the park told Beijing News that the duck will be on display near the eastern bank of the Kunming Lake inside the park, and the park will take steps to prevent tourist overcrowding inside the park.

The pleasure-boat program in the park will not be affected, and tourists can take the boats to get a closer view of the duck, the official said.
