Chinese embassy hands over renovated school to Myanmar

The Chinese Embassy handed over a renovated primary school to the Myanmar education authorities here Friday to be put into service.

The No. 2 Primary School at Yankin Township, built with the support of the Chinese embassy in 2000, was renovated this year.

At the handover ceremony attended by Chinese Ambassador Yang Houlan, the Chinese embassy also donated teaching aid including stationery and computers.

The renovation and the donation items totally cost 15,000 U.S. dollars.

Headmistress Daw Hla Hla Maw thanked the Chinese side for the donation to the primary school which has nearly 100 students.
