Gao E, who is making her eighth appearance in China's National Games, grabbed her second title in the country's premier sporting event when she pipped Liu Yingzi in a shoot-out of the women's trap competition.
Gao, who was first crowned the National Games champions in 1983, was tied with Liu Yingzi for 14 hits out of 15 in the final. But in the shoot-out Gao had two hits while Liu missed one target.
"Over the past three decades, the rules changed, the venues changed, but my love for the sport of shooting has never changed," said the 51-year-old veteran.
The bronze went to Zhu Jingyu, the youngest athlete among the six markswomen in semi-finals.
One of the most successful shooter in China, Gao has two Olympic bronze medals (2000, 2004) and a dozen of world cup titles under her belt.
