Lushan monkeys given birth control

Monkeys were given pregnancy-prevention medicine in Lushan, a mountainous scenery spot in east China's Jiangxi Province because they were going at it, well, like monkeys: Too rapidly and causing chaos in their enclosure, Information Daily reported.

Employees at the Lushan Mountain Scenic Area are adding the medication to the food of more than 100 macaque monkeys living in four to five tribes roaming the park.s forests, reported news portal jxnews.com.

However, there is a risk that giving monkeys human birth control may affect them in unforeseen ways.
