At least 10 provinces and cities including Beijing, Hebei and Jiangsu have simplified access to childbirth facilities for the migrant population. Now, migrant mothers can directly register where they live for their first child, the Beijing News reports.
According to the National Health and Family Planning Commission, migrant people can register their child and access related services in their current locations instead of returning to their hometowns.
