Zhang Wen from China survived Sunday's deadly plane crash in San Francisco along with all five other members of her family. She tells us how the trip of a lifetime turned into her worst nightmare.

From Shanghai China to San Francisco California. It was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime for Zhang Wen and her family. It became an experience she never imagined could happen.

Zhang Wen said, "I have no time to be scared because I have 5 family member in the hospital, I need time to take care of them "

Wen planned to spend her 2-week vacation seeing all the San Francisco sights: the Golden state bridge The Bay and Lombard street But minutes before her dream vacation was set to begin a nightmare Asiana Airlines plane landing ended it all killing two Chinese teenagers and injuring 181 PEOPLE.

Zhang said, " oh it's too fast, I don't know. It's just when the plane landing and I don't know, I just guess the wheel did not open timely or something because our plane tail touched the ground directly."

After the impact Zhang Wen recalls seconds of terror, a moment of panic.

Zhang said, "everybody screamed yes, dark and most of ash. everywhere is ash. "

Wen says she grabbed her injured baby and escaped through a gaping hole in the fuselage - just feet from her seat ...

Zhang said, "The seat hurt my boy's leg, so his left leg was broken. He is just 4 years old "

In fact San Francisco General Hospital officials say - like wen's son -- many of the passenger's injuries appeared to be crushing-type injuries.

Dr. Margeret Knudson, Chief of surgery, said, "Just like in a car crash but more severe. And also affliction-type injury where the spinal cord and the spinal column has been fractured. One of the patients we talked to said that the seats in front of her all collapsed and came at her. "
