Jiaxing (ECNS) -- A micro blog conference aimed at spreading positive energy was held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province, on Sunday.

Jointly held by China News Services Zhejiang branch, the Tongxiang government and the municipal Party committee of Tongxiang city, the event "Wuzhen@Tongxiang, China Microblog Conference," attracted several influential micro-bloggers who shared insights into the opportunities and challenges in the "micro-blogging era".

"Stake holders should give full play to the positive energy spread on micro blogs, in order to let it contribute to the realization of the 'Chinese dream'," said Wang Min, chief of China News Services Zhejiang branch.

As a fresh online communication platform, micro blogging has been playing an increasingly important role in people's lives, and it has brought profound changes to people's communication patterns, said Xi Jianhua, an official from the Zhejiang Institute of Media.

Representatives of China's official media, including Chen Yun, vice director of Xinhua News Agency's domestic news department, and Tao Guangxiong, editor in chief of Chinanews.com, delivered speeches at the event.

Micro blog celebrities, including Charles Xue and Chen Guangbiao, interacted with their fans at the event.
