The Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development recently held a marketing event in Frankfurt, Germany to introduce China's latest 72-hour visa-free policy for travelers, which started January 1, the Beijing News reported.

Tourists from 45 countries who hold flight tickets and visas from a third country are eligible. According to figures from the commission, the number of travelers from the US, South Korea, Japan and Germany are the four highest among all developed countries.

Air China also started new services including sending e-mails with foreign passengers' information to the immigration stations at the airport for fluid entry and exit.
