Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has visited the National Disease Control Center, in connection with bird flu prevention and the situation in the Sichuan quake zone.
The premier spoke with staff as he inspected the laboratory for virus detection and gene sequencing. By video link, he also spoke with the Zhejiang Disease Control Center about the H7N9 bird flu prevention and control, and the Sichuan Lushan Disease Control Work Station about epidemic prevention in the quake zone.
Premier Li said the priority for bird flu is to reduce mortality. After being briefed on relief and epidemic prevention work, he thanked the staff for their hard work, and directed them to do even more.
